Abstract

This article reflects on the impact of the publication of the book in spanish La política del destierro y el exilio en América Latina of Mario Sznadjer and Luis Roniger (México, FCE, 2013) the consolidation of the field of study of Latin American political exiles. Focus on their contribution to a reading of the practice of exile and banishment in the long term, their registration in Latin American political culture and its mass along the XX century ago.
