Abstract

It this paper the author carries out an approaching to concept and nowadays  status of electronic magazines  in Cuba and worldwide. The results of a poll are shown; this poll was conducted  with the users of four information specialized centers in the province of Camagüey with the idea of collecting different opinions about the use of electronic magazines. General aspects to classify the sample were required, and the opinion about the topic in DAFO key (weakness, threats, strength, opportunities). The results of the sample showed the high degree of lack of knowledge about the of electronic magazines, and therefore their infrequent use. It was also detected that the users consider the technological obstacles and the access the telematic networks as the main limitation in then use of this publications.
