Abstract

The treatment received by audiovisual documents is described and analyzed in relation with the policies of collection development, technical processes and services, in a sample of popular libraries located in La Plata City. The existence of a common picture in the great majority of these libraries is corroborated. The characteristics of two of the libraries are noted as exceptions to the general situation.
