Le fonctionnement du mythe et du nom mythique dans deux épigrammes de Martial

Résumé

En la lírica latina abundan los nombres míticos, sin que el correspondiente mito mismo sea enunciado. De ahí que con este artículo se quiera mostrar cómo tales nombres hacen las veces del mito mismo o, en su caso, hacen referencia a él, a modo de práctica teatral en Roma. O dicho de otra forma: cómo, desde tal práctica, el mito vuelve a la poesía. Una materia compleja que, igual que su fondo mediático, requiere una cierta refle­xión teórica.

Abstract

Mythical names can be found in large numbers within Latin poetry, but the myths themselves are not told at all. This article intends to show how these names substitute the myths themselves, while respectively referring to the stage practices of amphitheatres in Rome. In other terms: these practices enable myth to enter poetry again purely as mythical name. Such a complex issue as well as its medial background need a theoretical reflection.
