Aquí se propone una lectura sinóptica de tres obras recientes que tienen en común la acentuación de aspectos filosóficos y teológicos del pensamiento areopagítico: Christian Schafer estudia la filosofía del CD en The Philosophy of Dionysius the Areopagite: An lntroduction to the Structure and the Content of the Treatise On the Divine Names (2006); William Riordan analiza la teología de Dionisio en Divine Light: The Theology of Denys the Areopagite (2008) y Beate Regina Suchla titula "Die Philosophische Theologie" la tercera sección de su obra DionysiusAreopagita: Leben-Werh-Wirhung (2008).
