On the Gallicanism in the Tractatus de regia potestate et papali of Jean Quidort of Paris

This note presents and discusses a series of arguments from the Tractatus de regia potestate et papali to remark Jean Quidort’s proposal regarding the medieval dilemma of the double sovereignty. Special attention is paid to the historical and doctrinal context surrounding this work.
