Abstract

In this article we review the concepts introduced by Eugenio Barba regarding principles-that-return, the use of energy and the extra-daily body, with the intention of introducing some pedagogical and epistemological dicussion matters related to performing. We look into some pedagogical aspects oriented towards a poetic autonomy of the performer that is linked to the body?s capacity of generating emotions. Finally, we reflect on the ethical, esthetical and political dimension implied in the technical and methodological work of professional training.
