Abstract

In The Transfiguration of the Commonplace , A. Danto wonders, due to a specific series of works of art, which is the nature of the limits in art, philosophically and aesthetically and how these may be established. Upon this reflection, the author developes the distinction between "works of art" and "mere things", which would result pertinent, to reach in a theoretic and descriptive manner, a certain type of scenic experimentation which seeks to disproportionate the bond between fiction and reality, this being the object in study in this document. The theoretical articulation between the mentioned category and the concept of theatricality by J. Féral results, in this setting, as productive, since through the relationship between both, it is possible to approach the problematic which rises in this kind of performance. As a specific study case, we shall focus on some of the composition elements of Three Philosophers with Mustaches , by Vivi Tellas
