Este portal reúne la producción de las revistas científicas de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, especializadas en diversas áreas de las humanidades y las ciencias sociales. Su objetivo es promover la visibilidad de investigaciones originales y de alta calidad, facilitando el acceso a contenidos rigurosos y actualizados.

  • Anales de Filología Clásica

    Double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal of the Institute of Classical Philology (Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad de Buenos Aires) that has been published since 1939. Biannual publication.

  • Anales de Historia Antigua, Medieval y Moderna

    Anales de Historia Antigua, Medieval y Moderna es una revista científica con arbitraje externo editada desde 1998 por el Instituto de Historia Antigua, Medieval y Moderna (Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad de Buenos Aires). Es la continuación de Anales de Historia Antigua y Medieval, editada entre 1948 y 1997. La revista está orientada a un público académico especializado y tiene como objetivo publicar trabajos de investigación originales e inéditos del ámbito de los estudios en Historia Antigua (Clásica), Medieval y Moderna. Está abierta a especialistas e investigadores tanto del país como del extranjero, aceptando colaboraciones escritas preferentemente en español, pero también en inglés, francés, italiano y portugués. Los trabajos presentados se someten a arbitraje externo doble ciego realizado por pares expertos. Su periodicidad es semestral. Cada número cubre los períodos enero-junio y julio-diciembre.

  • Arqueología

    ARQUEOLOGÍA is a peer-reviewed scientific journal, with electronic format and four-monthly frequency, edited by the Instituto de Arqueología, Facultad de Filosofía y Letras (FFyL), Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA). Its contents are published online through continuous flow and are available in open access, free of charge and with no time embargoes of any kind. The main objective of this journal is to publish original and unpublished contributions written in Spanish or English resulting from archaeological research, or from multidisciplinary research or related disciplines whose objectives have been guided archaeologically. Manuscripts may be empirically, methodologically, theoretically or historiographically oriented, covering any chronological period and geographic region. Manuscripts can only be submitted through the ARQUEOLOGÍA journal portal, by registering with a username and password, during the deadlines established in the specific calls for papers. All contributions must conform to the criteria stipulated in Author Guidelines and Code of Ethics and Best Practices.

  • Beckettiana

    The Beckettiana magazine is an academic journal whose purpose is to promote debate / offer a space for discussion about the work of Samuel Beckett in the different aspects that revolve around his production: theater, poetry, representation, translation, intertextuality, Ireland and politics, his relationship with philosophy, his texts on plastic arts, etc.

  • Boletín del Instituto de Historia Argentina y Americana Dr. Emilio Ravignani

    The Boletín del Instituto de Historia Argentina y Americana “Dr. Emilio Ravignani” is a biannual journal of history that reflects the best results of historiographical research work in Latin America, as well as Latin Americanist works from other regions of the world. Its purpose is to constitute a means of communication between the authors and the specialized academic public to which it is addressed; but it also aspires to reach a wider audience, hoping to enrich the contributions and debates of Latin American historiography.

    The Boletín publishes two issues per year (January-June and July-December). The publication in paper format has been carried out since 1922, and in digital form since 2011.

    Cuadernos de filosofía es la revista académica del Instituto de Filosofía “Dr. Alejandro Korn”.  De periodicidad semestral, Cuadernos publica trabajos originales e inéditos de las diferentes áreas de la producción filosófica, recibiendo contribuciones en español, inglés y portugués. Su objetivo es ofrecer un espacio de intercambio, discusión y difusión de la investigación filosófica producida por la comunidad académica nacional e internacional.

    Cuadernos de Historia de España is a journal published by the Instituto de Historia de España Dr. Claudio Sánchez-Albornoz (Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad de Buenos Aires). It publishes original and unpublished works on the different areas of Spanish history in its influences and multiple projections through time and space.

    The aim of El oído pensante is to promote the discussion of the theoretical, methodological and epistemological dilemmas faced by the research carried out on the different kinds of musical and sound manifestations. It receives unpublished articles in Spanish, Portuguese and English dealing with ethnomusicology, anthropology and sociology of music, popular music studies, musicology, and cultural studies, among others.

  • Estudios e investigaciones

    Estudios e Investigaciones del Payró es una revista anual del Instituto de Teoría e Historia del Arte "Julio E. Payró" de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la UBA. Publica investigaciones originales sobre teoría e historia del arte y promueve el acceso abierto al conocimiento. Sus artículos son evaluados por especialistas mediante un sistema de arbitraje doble ciego.

  • Estudios Sociales del NOA

    Estudios Sociales del NOA aims to disseminate original and unpublished contributions that provide insight into studies on the Andean world and, through them, contribute to clarifying and advancing current issues and discussions in the social sciences in general, from the disciplinary field in which they are framed.

  • Filología

    Filología es una revista de publicación periódica –semestral– del Instituto de Filología y Literaturas Hispánicas “Dr. Amado Alonso” de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad de Buenos Aires. La revista opera como órgano de difusión científica del Instituto, en el que confluye la labor de profesionales procedentes de distintas áreas de investigación (teórica o empírica): gramática y lingüística, literaturas españolas, literaturas extranjeras y teoría literaria. Las páginas de Filología, desde su creación en 1949, acogen trabajos originales e inéditos en relación con el conocimiento de la lengua, la literatura y la cultura hispánicas.

    The magazine Historia, Voces y Memoria is an academic journal of the Oral History Program of the Interdisciplinary Institute of Latin American Studies and Research ( INDEAL ) of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters ( FFyL ) of the University of Buenos Aires ( UBA ), which Its purpose is to promote debate / offer a space for discussion on Oral History and Memory, both on methodological issues and on applied research in development, especially on Latin America.

    The journal Historia & Guerra is interested in studying the war phenomenon in a broad sense, covering wars and other armed conflicts from multiple angles of analysis (military, economic, diplomatic, political, social and cultural). Consequently, it is open to contributions from diverse perspectives of an empirical or theoretical-methodological nature.

  • Información, cultura y sociedad

    Información, cultura y sociedad is an academic and peer-reviewed journal published without interruption since 1999 by Instituto de Investigaciones Bibliotecológicas - INIBI, Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad de Buenos Aires.  The aim of the journal is to be an area of confluence for the Librarianship and Information Science professionals or any other field concerned in this issue, with a view to building an interdisciplinary forum for discussion and exchange.

  • Inter Litteras

    Inter Litteras is an academic journal with arbitration belonging to the Foreign Literatures section of the Instituto de Filología y Literaturas Hispánicas “Dr. Amado Alonso” (Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad de Buenos Aires). Its purpose is to promote debate and offer a space for discussion about different problems related to literature in languages other than Spanish and comparative literature.

  • Memoria Americana. Cuadernos de Etnohistoria

    Memoria Americana – Cuadernos de Etnohistoria (MACE) is a publication edited by the Sección de Etnohistoria del Instituto de Ciencias Antropológicas published by the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad de Buenos Aires. It is a scientific journal which publishes original research papers written by national and international authors in the fields of ethnohistory, historical anthropology and colonial history of Latin America, aiming to make the advances in these disciplinary fields widely available. Its contents are intended for specialists, undergraduate and graduate students and scientists in related fields.

    Mora (Buenos Aires) is the expression of the Interdisciplinary Institute of Gender Studies of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Buenos Aires. It is an academic journal open to debate and the production of papers and ideas in the development of women's, gender and feminism studies.

  • Patristica et Mediævalia

    Patristica et Mediævalia is the journal of the Section of studies of Medieval Philosophy of the Institut of Philosophy “Dr. Alejandro Korn” of the University of Buenos Aires. Founded by María Mercedes Bergadá in 1975, directed by Francisco Bertelloni between 1987 and 2018, and currently by Claudia D’Amico, this publication is the way of communication and exchange with the scientific community dedicated to the research of Medieval thought and philosophy.

    El Matadero. Revista Crítica de Literatura Argentina aims to provide a space for the dissemination and discussion of research conducted by members of the national and international academic community, focusing on topics related to Argentine cultural production, with a special interest in literature and in dialogue with other literatures and disciplines.

    Since 1992, Revista del Instituto de Investigaciones en Ciencias de la Educación, a biannual publication, presents scientific and academic knowledge on the field of education. The journal publishes research articles and original contributions that enrich the debate on educational issues and matters related to the local, national, regional and international fields.

  • Revista del Instituto de Historia Antigua Oriental 'Dr. Abraham Rosenvasser'

    La Revista del Instituto de Historia Antigua Oriental "Dr. Abraham Rosenvasser" (RIHAO) es la publicación periódica del Instituto de Historia Antigua Oriental “Dr. Abraham Rosenvasser” (Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad de Buenos Aires). Su objetivo es publicar contribuciones académicas relacionadas con la historia de las sociedades del Cercano Oriente antiguo y el Mediterráneo oriental desde el período Paleolítico hasta la época romano-helenística inclusive. Otros trabajos con enfoques teóricos e interdisciplinarios que guarden relación con estas problemáticas también serán considerados.

    Revista Transporte y Territorio, conceived as a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary publication, is primarily aimed at the Argentine and Ibero-American academic community. However, it is also open to receiving contributions and proposals from readers in other geographical or sectoral fields, including business, civil society organizations, and policymakers.

  • RUNA, archivo para las ciencias del hombre

    The journal Runa, archivo para las ciencias del hombre is a publication of the Instituto de Ciencias Antropológicas -ICA- of the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras of the Universidad de Buenos Aires. It is open to national and foreign authors who develop their research in the fields of biological anthropology, social anthropology, ethnology, ethnohistory and folklore, seeking to strengthen academic exchange within the framework of the Social and Human Sciences. It publishes original articles, thematic dossiers, lectures, interviews, translations, book reviews and debates. According to the section, the contributions received by the journal will be evaluated by a double-blind external peer review system.

    Signo y Seña is a specialized magazine published by the Institute of Linguistics of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Buenos Aires. It is a semi-annual electronic and free access publication that promotes debate, the exchange of ideas, and the dissemination of research in all areas of linguistics, both in Argentina and abroad.

  • Teatro XXI

    Teatro XXI magazine is an academic magazine whose purposes are: 1) to try to understand and clarify theatrical facts without hiding our aesthetic ideology, nor concealing our relations with the market, nor the conditions of production of theatrical discourse; 2) to debate the Argentine theater of today and of the past based on the understanding of what it meant and what theater means among us; and 3) end the contentist interpretation, replacing it with the parameters on theatrical theory.

  • telondefondo. Revista de Teoría y Crítica Teatral

    telondefondo. Revista de Teoría y Crítica Teatral is an electronic publication published by the Institute of History of Argentine and Latin American Art “Luis Ordaz”, from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Buenos Aires. The magazine, dedicated to a spectrum of interested readers, scholars and/or specialists in theatrical issues, aspires to be a space for dialogue and exchange about the multiple critical and metacritical perspectives of the current scene.

  • Zama

    Zama is the journal of the Hispano-American Literature Institute (Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, University of Buenos Aires). It is a double-blind peer-reviewed academic publication that has been published since 2008. Its frequency is annual (December). It publishes original and unpublished works, as well as translations, bibliographic reviews, conversations, poetics and notes referring to Latin American literature.
