Abstract

The port of Manta faces the challenge of becoming the second port with the largest movement of cargo from Ecuador and be located on the fourth most visited city by domestic and foreign tourists, a balance that will have to maintain to preserve these two sources of income which have given vitality and international recognition. Currently the Port has launched an international public tender for the “granting of container and multipurpose terminals of deepwater port of Manta”. For the above, this article is aimed to develop innovative and novel planning methodology port, using tools such as SWOT analysis, DELPHI and descriptive statistics of software Labbtex.
