It is analyzed the conformation of the hydrosocial territory defined by Paraguay-Paraná Waterway in Argentina, as a support for the agro-export model. The inquiry made it possible to observe the creation of a territorial order defined by extractivist practices and agro-business; a symbolic order definition which links the megainfrastructure to development idea; and finally, the social conflicts emerged from the waterway implementation. It has been possible to verify that the megainfrastructure configured a new hydro-social constellation in the territories that make up the basins from the establishment of the supranational scale, and in Argentina, of a territorial-symbolic order associated to transgenic soy, which came into conflict with existing territorialities.
